Cellphones at schools

Learners of today carry Cellphones to school: they play music, watch video clips, send messages or collaborate with others learners using (Mixit, twitter, et cetera), browser in the internet and sometimes take photos.
This actions takes places or happens during school hours. For example during lunch break, learners play music loudly in the open without using they headphones.
The is question is" Carring of cellphones by learners at school it is a good or a bad thing?

  1. Not only during breaks some do that even in class during teaching, draw others attention and distrupt the whole lesson. These morden learners are confusing.During lunch you will find them busy with horrible stuff like ponograms viewing those pictures.I think caring cellphones at school is ok only if are used fruitfully e. g. using them as calculators for maths, movie makers, educational games etc

  2. Fantastic idea of cellphones, how are we going to control their use for learning purposes only ,because they are not the property of the school like computers etc.?

  3. I think cellphones are part of the ICT tools we keep talking about. If you want them to use them fruitfully, give them a topic that they can use cellphones as tools to communicate among themselves. Teach them how to join forums like facebook and you must also be a member. Create a link for your group within the messages you want them to research.
