The time of shifting our mindset towards ICT integration in our teaching and learning has arrived. Every educator in our country- South Africa must be ready for this shift on or before 2014. The skills attained must be used to enhance teaching and learning.
Using ICT resources every day, will improve your performance in class or outside the teaching and learning environment.

ReplyDeleteWe guys are very fortunate to be part of this programme...but unfortunately for the rest of the thousands other educators out there, who are not literate as to how to use a lot of ICT resources, it then becomes our responsibility to remove all the stereotypes out there in those old educators' mindz,the so called "Antiques" of this universe, those that still believe that when learners are operating computers and cellphones to mention but a few ICT resources, will eventually break them.
Maybe by 2014, all those "antiques" will be out of the education system and allow us 'young ones'to impart knowledge gained through this programme.
Remember that my point of reference are those educators that can't even respond to a call from a cellphone let alone use any of the features in their cellphones.
